This recipe came from my daughter's Girl Scout Troop.
You can mix the cake batter in a plactic zip-top bag and substitute cooking oil for the egg.
2 cans (20 to 25 oz each) applesauce
2 boxes (1 lb each) ginger bread cake and the ingredients required on the mix box
1 stick butter or margarine
2 pkgs (12 oz each) cinnamon chips
Mix cake mix according to directions on the package.
Melt butter or margarine in Dutch oven, carefully coating sides.
Pour applesauce into oven.
Top with prepared cake mix.
Bake for 25 minutes with 14 coals on top, 8 on bottom.
Serves 16.
